A Biography: A new approach is an outstanding contribution to the analytical understanding of a personality that has been credited with the making of modern India. What has been depicted in this book is not an version of an inside out of a personality. Rammohan Roy, but an assessment of where history failed to bridge the gap between the achievement and failure of a personality. The illumination of the point where man and history meet does not always reach the dark pathoms of unexplainable events of life. Such events have been brought to focus in the book. This is the first attempt to show that historical personalities who are always wrapped up in the glamour do often come out of their preserved lusture. It proves that life for an individual is not only a series of achievements where the greatness is not as great as it seems to be.
